So for Spring break i decided to go to New Orleans to help out. And it was by far an I opener for me. I am so glad of the simple things we have...such as water, warm water, sinks, showers, a regular toilet, and a "home". The first day we got there...i def was not comfortable there...it was to the point where I wanted to call home and just fly home cuz I ain't used to cold showers, living in a warehouse that is very shaddy and falling apart, and new orleans in general where everything is messed up. But I guess I had to just be cool and start talkin to god and do devos and concentrate on him, his works, and why I am here. I've realize that I need to submit to others and not be so focused on myself and my needs. After the first day....things seems to go ALOT BETTER. I'm so glad i made some cool friends and they were also a factor in me being able to think less of the surrounding and actually have a flippin' sweet time there.
I never done so much manual labor in my life, but I am so glad I did. Cuz if anything this will make me have a stronger character.
